Employees of 10 billion tree project say they worked day and night in difficult conditions such as lockdowns and floods, but have not yet received their salaries.
Poor and hardworking bulldozers say they worked in difficult conditions like Karuna and floods but we did not get their salaries due to which their stoves have become cold.
Under the Prime Minister’s 10 Billion Tree Project, one million trees have been planted on 800 acres, including fruit and shade trees, which now need maintenance.
“If we don’t get paid, we will stop taking care of them and watering them, because we are forced to because of hunger in our homes,” he said. We appeal to the government to pay us salaries so that we can support our families and raise our children.
On the other hand, the district forest officer said that the forest department had been withholding funds from Rajanpur for several months.
