Elections only solution to the country’s problems: Miftah Ismail
Finance Minister Miftah Ismail said that, Elections are the only solution to the country’s problems. “We will put the country on track and go for elections. ” he added.
Federal Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has said that there will be a deficit budget this year, difficult decisions will have to be made, elections are the only solution to the problems, we will put the country on track and move towards elections.
Miftah Ismail has arrived in London before leaving for Washington for talks with the IMF, where he met Nawaz Sharif and Ishaq Dar.
Talking to media in London, Miftah Ismail said that the most important issue is improvement of economic condition. Nawaz Sharif has instructed that no more burden should be imposed on the people.
Miftah Ismail said that this year there will be a deficit budget, difficult decisions will have to be made. Imran government has already taken a record loan, PTI government did not collect as much tax as the PML-N had collected.
He said that the previous government had deliberately broken some of the promises made to the IMF and some of them were due to incompetence. Inflation in Pakistan is third in the world.
