Election for seat of chairman senate to also be contested jointly: Bilawal

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday said that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) will jointly contest election for the seat of chairman senate as well.

“The PDM will tell you when and where the vote of no confidence will take place,” Bilawal Zardari said while addressing a press conference in Islamabad. He was flanked by former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gillani.

Bilawal said PM Imran Khan’s taking vote of confidence was a mere drama. It was a tactic to cover up the Senate election defeat only, he maintained.

To a query, he said the PDM fought senate election on the basis of relations and politics. Nobody could protect the government anymore now, he added.

To a query regarding getting higher number of votes, Gillani asked that what they thought about all the by-elections being held all across the country if they thought that money was being spent in those polls also

He admitted that the members who would have not found their future secure in the PTI they would have casted vote in PPP’s favor.
