The Election Commission of Pakistan has started provision of nomination papers to the candidates for senate elections.

According to the press release, the schedule of senate elections would be revealed on 11 February.

However, nomination papers for the two vacant seats of the federal government could be received from the secretariat of the election commission. Moreover, the candidates are requested to submit party tickets along with the nomination papers.

The ECP has also set the limit of expenditure at Rs 1.5 million for the candidates contesting Senate elections.

The ECP said that a separate account should be opened in the designated branches of the bank and it would be mandatory for the candidates to spend money on the election from this account.
