Elderly Afghani citizen comes to enroll in university
KABUL: A senior citizen, who dropped out of school during the Afghan war, has arrived to enroll in a university in Afghanistan.
Ghulam Hazrat, a 55-year-old senior citizen of Paktia Province, from Madhyawal village in Zurmat city, went to the university to submit his admission form to continue his education. Pictures of the man are doing rounds on social media.
Ghulam Hazrat, an Afghan citizen, completed his bachelor’s degree as a private student a few years ago and is now eager to complete his education by becoming a regular university student.
After the photos of him submitting his entry form went viral on social media, he was highly praised and encouraged by netizens while he also has the full support of his family members.
It is also pertinent here to mention that Ghulam Hazrat had done intermediate during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan but now he wants to complete his education. Ghulam Hazrat also lived in Pakistan as a refugee during the Afghan war.
