Eight sleeping men murdered with axe in Sheikhupura
In a heart-wrenching incident, eight men were murdered with an axe while sleeping in the farms in a village near Sheikhupura, Punjab.
According to the police, 8 people were stabbed to death with axe at different places while they were sleeping in the village of Hechidar in the suburbs of Sheikhupura.
The police said that the suspect has been arrested with murder weapon, the arrested person seems to be mentally unstable.
DPO Faisal Mukhtar said in this regard that the accused committed all the murders after 3 am when the entire village was sleeping.
Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has taken notice of the murder of 8 people and has asked the police authorities for an investigation report.
Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said that the provision of justice to the family should be ensured in any case.
