Eight killed as heavy rains lash areas of Balochistan: officials

Heavy rains and snowfall in different cities of Balochistan including Quetta killed 8 people and injured more than a dozen.

According to sources, a roof of a living room in the village of Kali Luqman in the border area of ​​Chaman killed five people, including women and children, and injured 6. The injured were immediately shifted to Civil Hospital Chaman.

In addition, two girls lost their lives while two people were injured in a roof collapse in Chokal area of ​​Pishin district and two people were shifted to a nearby hospital. 

One woman was killed and two children were injured when a roof collapsed in Bershore. The injured and the dead have been shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital. According to the district administration, the condition of the injured is out of danger.

According to Zabid Reiki, a member of the Wakash Assembly, 20 people have been trapped in the flood waters in the Bug River in Mashkel. In this regard, he tried to contact the Chief Minister Balochistan, which failed. He urged the Interior and Provincial Disaster Management Authority officials to send a helicopter to evacuate the trapped people

In some places, trapped people have appealed for help on videos on social media. Many have tried to reach out to support teams through media representatives and elected representatives.
