Eight drown after van falls into Chitral river
A van along with eight passengers drowned into a river in Upper Chitral area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday.
The van was carrying around 10 passengers, However, while crossing the bridge over the river eight passengers drowned.
Two people were rescued who have been identified as Haji Wali and Muhammad Irshad.
Moreover, the rescue team has recovered four bodies till now, four other passengers are still missing.
The deceased have been identified as Asrar Ahmed, Mrs Shehzad, Ejaz Wali, Sultan, Umeed Nabi, Mughal, Deedarudin and his wife.
A similar accident was reported on Saturday morning in which eleven people, three children among them, were killed while 13 others wounded after a passenger van plunged into a ravine near Kohala.
A similar fish was also caught from the sea of Jiwani and it was sold for Rs780,000, three days back.
