Egg prices increased by Rs16 per dozen in one week: PBS report
According to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the prices of total 26 essential items were increased in one week including egg prices which were increased by Rs16 per dozen.
The Bureau of Statistics mentioned in its weekly report that inflation rate dropped down by 0.57% in the week.
“On the other hand an increase was observed in the prices of eggs (10.78%), tomatoes (7.01%), bananas (3.83%), printed lawn (2.33%), potatoes (2.31%), sugar (1.74%), fresh milk (1.37%), shirtings (1.36%), long cloth (1.27%), georgette (1.24%), curd (1.12%) and wheat flour Bag (1.03%),” the report added.
According to the report, during the week, out of 51 items, prices of 07 items were decreased, 26 items were increased while 18 items remained constant.
