Faisal Edhi, chairman of Edhi Foundation, has submitted a visa request in order to travel to Palestine for humanitarian and relief work, it emerged on Monday.
“We want to take part in the relief work in Palestine via the Edhi Foundation. Five people, including my son Saad [and myself], will be going to Palestine,” said Faisal as quoted by Geo News.
He further added that he would be going to Palestine via Egypt.
According to the reports, he met Palestinian envoy in Islamabad and announced to set up an initial fund of Rs30 million to purchase medicines and other equipment while appealing to people for donations.
Palestinians have been facing brutalities of Israeli forces since last week. At least 212 Palestinians, including 61 children, have been killed in Gaza since the attacks began while 1,500 Palestinians have been injured, according to Al Jazeera.
