 Earthquake jolts in Lower Dir, Peshawar and adjoining areas

PESHAWAR: Strong earthquake jolts were felt in the Malakand region, Peshawar along with adjoining areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Wednesday.

People rushed out of Peshawar airport in fear reciting Quranic verses. Tremors were also felt in the areas of Abbottabad, Swat, Mardan, and areas close to their surrounding.

According to details given by the metrological center, the depth of the earthquake was recorded at 15 km and the epicenter of the quake was 12 km north-west of Jehlum.
