Dusty winds clutched Karachi

Karachi: Dusty winds have been blowing in Karachi since this morning, making the weather cloudy and reducing visibility, like it did the day before.
According to the Meteorological Department, dusty winds are blowing southwest and west in Karachi on Saturday with a speed of more than 23 km per hour. Due to the north-westerly winds, the winds will get colder, while the intensity of the weather will remain till January 27.
According to Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz, temperature at night in Karachi could be 8 to 9 degrees Celsius during this time. Dust is blown by strong winds, due to dusty winds in the morning hours visibility was 500 meters. The department said it would be colder on Saturday than on Friday. There is no possibility of rain in Karachi during this period. The severity of cold will continue to increase for the next 4 to 5 days.
Many areas also lost power due to falling poles and wires due to strong winds. People standing at the bus stop, motorcyclists and pedestrians were severely disturbed during the dust storm in Karachi.
Strong winds have been blowing in various locations of Karachi since Friday afternoon, according to data obtained. The wind speed at Masroor Base was 65 kmph at 3:20 a.m was the strongest.
The number of people died in Karachi as a result of various accidents caused by severe winds has escalated to five. In Kaniz Fatima Society, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Sher Shah, and North Karachi, four people were killed when wall collapsed, while one person was electrocuted in Landhi.
