‘Dum maro dum, bhool jao saray gham,’ Ahsan Iqbal takes a dig at govt

ISLAMABAD: Former planning minister and senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Ahsan Iqbal on Friday took a jibe at the government for legalizing cultivation of bhang (cannabis).
“After hen-egg economy, goat economy, buffalo economy, now the model of hemp economy is presented (by the government),” he wrote in a tweet further bantering that why he should not sacrifice himself over the people who chose “the captain”.
Ahsan Iqbal said the world was moving to the digital economy and our government was going to run the economy from cannabis cultivation. Now the next step should be cultivating poppy, he said gleefully.
Dum maro dum, bhool jao saray gham (Take a puff (of cannabis), forget all your sorrows), he wrote.
