 Dua Zahra’s nikkah cleric, witness handed over to Karachi police

Punjab Police has handed over on Thursday nikkah cleric and marriage witness of Dua Zehra to Karachi Police. Dua Zehra the 14-year-old girl who had mysteriously gone missing from Karachi in April but later declared that she had married to 21-year-old Zaheer Ahmed.

Samanabad police team took both the persons into custody. Both the persons have been handed over to Karachi police on transit remand.

Punjab police said that the nikkah cleric and witness are accused of conducting bogus marriage of Dua Zahra, on which the accused were produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate. Karachi police will conduct further investigation in this regard.

On the other hand, Dua Zahra has accused Sindh and Punjab police of harassing her. Expressing concern over her life, Dua Zahra said that her life is in danger.

A few days ago, Dua said in a video statement that Sindh police wants to kidnap and take us to Karachi, while our lives are in danger in Karachi, I have married Zaheer Ahmed of my own free-will, if anything happens then my parents, Punjab And Sindh Police will be responsible.
