Don’t get distracted by fake news, propaganda: COAS Gen Bajwa
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Saturday advised the passed-out cadets at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakol, not to get distracted by fake news, political propaganda in the country.
Addressing the passing out parade at PMA Kakol, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa congratulated the passed-out cadets and said that, “You should be proud that you are going to be a part of this great army.”
“It is a matter of pride for me to address the passing out parade of the 146th Long Course,” COAS added.
General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that the Pakistan Army has made great sacrifices to rid Pakistan of terrorism, but stressed that country’s desire for peace should not be considered as its weakness.
“Pakistan is a peaceful country and wants good relations with its neighbors and willing to resolve all bilateral issues with its neighbors peacefully,” COAS said.
“Don’t get distracted by fake news and political wrangling in the country. Respect the democratic institutions and be ready to defend the territorial integrity, sovereignty and constitution of Pakistan with your life,” he further added.
