Donkey heads found in Clifton were slaughtered to serve foreigners: investigation officer

KARACHI: The investigation officer of police, who was assigned the task to probe dumping of heads and offal of donkeys at a garbage point in Karachi’s Clifton area, believes that the donkeys were butchered to serve their meat to foreigners.
Sources said the probe officer said the chances of selling donkey meat were very slim as those who were involved in this would not throw offal in open rather they would bury it underground.
According to the investigation sources, the authorities are trying to hunt the suspect seen in the CCTV footage of the location where offal was dumped.
On Jan 24, heads of three donkeys and their offal were found near Clifton’s Driving License branch, which were later picked up by authorities of the Clifton Cantonment Board.
