Dollar falls by 20 paisa in interbank market

KARACHI: The dollar depreciated by 20 paisa against the Pakistani currency on the interbank market on the third day of the business week.
According to the Forex Dealers Association, the dollar fell by 20 paisa to close at Rs 158.49 on the interbank market on Wednesday.
It may be recalled that the price of gold had declined significantly in the Sarafa Bazaar on the second day of the business week.
According to the Sindh Sarafa Bazaar Association, the price of gold per tola had dropped by Rs 2,500 to Rs 112,100 yesterday.
In addition, the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs 2143 to Rs 96,108. It may be recalled that even two days ago, the price of gold per tola had decreased by Rs 700, after which its new price became Rs 114,600. The price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs 600 to Rs 98,251.
