Doctors demanding protective gears baton-charged, arrested in Quetta
QUETTA: A group of agitated doctors was arrested on Friday as they staged protest demanding provision of protective gears and other facilities to doctors and paramedical staff in Quetta.
They said the government had to provide PPEs in this crucial times as more than 200 people were tested positive for coronavirus across the city including 13 doctors. They said arrests of doctors could not offer a solution.
The doctors were staging demonstration in red zone before the Chief Minister House in Quetta against the provincial government. Police have reportedly arrested two dozens doctors for violating section 144 in red zone. They were also baton-charged.
Young doctors have reportedly announced to boycott emergency services in all the hospitals across Balochistan.
