Doctors’ deaths due to COVID-19 increasing in Khyber Pakthunkhwa
PESHAWAR: Another addition in the deaths of doctors was reported on Friday as Dr Muzaffar Syed, who contracted Coronavirus few weeks ago, died in Peshawar. He was under treatment at Saidu Teaching Hospital’s covid-19 ward.
Dr Muzaffar was an endocrinologist and worked as a medical officer at Civil Hospital, Barikot. His funeral prayer will be performed in Tando Dag, a village located in Swat.
37 doctors and 40 other health staff have been died due to covid-19 as per the records of the Provincial Doctors Association. Moreover, the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has failed to provide Covid-19 allowance and package to the doctors.
