PESHAWAR: Deputy Inspector General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Qazi Jamilud Din has written a letter to religious scholars of Hazara division seeking help in controlling narcotics.

“The religious scholars should play their role and propagate in their Friday sermons about prohibition of use of narcotics in Shariah,” he said in the letter.

The DIG Hazara Division said that use of drugs could not be eradicated from society without cooperation of religious scholars and people of all walks of society.

He has directed SHOs to personally deliver the letters to all the religious scholars.
