“DG ISI’s presser was more political than Sheikh Rasheed,” says Imran Khan

In his first interaction with Long March attendees, PTI Chairman Imran Khan while referring to joint press conference of military’s top brass said that DG ISI’s press conference was more political than Awami Muslim League’s (AML) leader Sheikh Rasheed.

PTI chairman said that his march was not for politics or personal interest but to make nation free from slavery.

“Our decisions should not be taken in Washington, but the decisions of Pakistan should be taken in Pakistan and by the people of Pakistan,” he added.

Referring to yesterday’s press conference of military’s top officials, Imran Khan warned that he was silent for the betterment of country and its institutions.

Khan said, “I am not a fugitive like Nawaz Sharif, I live here [Pakistan] and die here too, further adding that, “our criticism is constructive criticism as I want an independent Army.”

Responding to DG ISI’s claim of Imran Khan’s unconstitutional demands from COAS, he said that he never asked for any unconstitutional demand but he wanted free and fair elections.

“I want the people to decide the fate of country,” he added.

Imran Khan furthered that his Haqiqi Azadi March will head towards the Islamabad at the allotted place by Islamabad High Court (IHC) and requested to keep an eye on criminals who always tried to distort the peace.

“With due humbleness I want to tell the Supreme Court that on May 25, you did not protect our democratic rights as our people were killed and picked up and we still waiting for justice. He added that, PTI supporters will remain peaceful during the long March but Supreme Court has to kept an eye on PM Shehbaz and Rana Sanaullah who always tried to distort the ‘peace’.

After Imran Khan’s address, Senator Faisal Javed Khan also administered the oath to the participants of the Long March.
