The university’s vice-chancellor, Dr Anila Attaur Rehman has said the incident appeared to be a suicide, however the police and the medico-legal team has still to confirm the cause of the death through postmortem report.

Family of the deceased has alleged that she did not commit suicide but it was a case of murder.
