Defence Exhibition IDEAS 2022 kicks off at Karachi Expo Centre

A four-day International Defence Exhibition and Seminar IDEAS-2022 on Tuesday kicked off at Karachi Expo Centre, where the foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari addressed the inauguration ceremony.
Addressing the inauguration, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said that it was his honor to address the defence exhibition. He welcomed the international guests at the exhibition.
The foreign minister said that modern technology was an important step towards country’s goal of self-reliance and the use of modern technology and artificial intelligence was very helpful towards development.
Bilawal Bhutto furthered that, “Pakistan has worked for peace in the world and will continue to do so,” adding that,” under foreign policy, relations with other countries were improving, while the peaceful solution of the Kashmir issue was important for the improvement of the region.”
According to Defence Export Promotion Organization (DEPO), 64 countries of the world will participate with their products in the 4-day exhibition that will continue until November 18.
285 delegations from 51 countries including Pakistan are also participating in IDEAS 2022.
The International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) was started for the first time in the year 2000 and since then it has been held every year.
Karachi has been chosen to host the country’s largest defence exhibition, the IDEA-2022 being held from November 15 to 18, which has become the largest defence equipment exhibition forum in the region.
