During an interview with CNN International, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that they (Israel) controlled media while referring to “deep pockets” as his remarks were termed “anti-Semitic” by the news analyst Bianna Golodryga.
“I am convinced, the tide is turning. I am convinced the public pressure, the pressure of public opinion mounting and the ceasefire is inevitable. Israel is losing out. They are losing the media war despite their connections,” the foreign minister said before the ceasefire was officially announced.
Upon asking what did he mean by “connections”, Qureshi replied that Israel had deep pockets and control over media. “I would call that an ant-Semitic remark,” Golodryga responded.
The FM added that they (Israel) “have a lot of influence” and (their narrative) got a lot of coverage. He then gave credits to citizens journalists for reporting on the ground and showing what was actually happening in the Palestinian territories.
Meanwhile, he further lashed out at Israel for war crimes and massacre committed during its air raids on Gaza which killed at least 232 Palestinians, including 65 children.
