The government has decided to set up a national emergency helpline to prevent incidents such as the motorway tragedy.

The PM Delivery Unit has started work on the National Emergency Helpline under which a separate system will be set up for the National Emergency Helpline.

In case of any emergency, there will be an emergency helpline number for the whole country.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed to complete the establishment of National Helpline Toll Free Number in two months.

The Prime Minister’s Office said that all the emergency helpline numbers of the country would be connected to the new system and assistance would be sought from all the mobile companies of the country in this regard.

According to the PM’s office, legislation will be enacted to make the system more efficient and stable, and the provinces will be consulted for legislation.
