 Death toll from coronavirus pandemic rises to 119,618 worldwide

The worldwide death toll from coronavirus pandemic has risen to 119,618, as more than one point nine million declared cases have been registered in over 200 countries and territories.

According to the tally of AFP, at least 444,711 coronavirus patients have so far recovered.

In the United States, death toll from the pandemic now stands at 23,640 with 586,941 infections. At least 36,948 patients have recovered.

Italy is the second worst-hit country with 20,465 deaths from 159,516 infections.

The number of coronavirus infection cases in the country has reached to 5,716 and death toll to 96 on Tuesday morning.

The infection cases include 2,826 in Punjab, 1452 in Sindh, 800 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan 231, Islamabad Capital Territory 131, Gilgit-Baltistan 233, and Azad Kashmir 43 cases.

So far 1378 patients of Coronavirus have been recovered, while 46 are in a critical condition. Cases detected so far (AJK 43, Balochistan 231, GB 233, ICT 131, KP 800, Punjab 2826, Sindh 1452) 1378 recovered.

According to the National Command and Operation Center, 69,928 tests have been conducted since outbreak of the pandemic.

Local transmission is 53 percent and foreign travel 47 percent. The government has made ready five hundred and eighty eight hospitals with Covid facilities with 1368 patients admitted across the country, while 352 quarantine facilities have been established with 17,454 people housed in them.

On Mar 13, nine members of a family were found to be suspected of contracting coronavirus disease in Karachi’s Malir Cantt area.
