Death toll continues after 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti
The death toll is still increasing after a 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti.
Around 1,200 deaths have been reported so far and at least 5,700 others were likely injured .
The epicenter of the quake about 80 miles (129 km) to the southwest of Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti, with a depth of around 6 miles (10 km).
Earlier on Saturday, they region of southern Haiti got struck by a 7.2 magnitude at 8:29 am.
According to Haiti’s director of civil protection, Jerry Chandler the rescue teams were being sent to the center of the damage for search and rescue missions.
Moreover, the Prime Minister Ariel Henry stated that he has provided aid the most effected areas.
