Dasu attack turns out to be nexus between India, Afghanistan: FM Qureshi
ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Thursday said that the attack on the vehicle of Chinese engineers in Dasu turned out to be an India-Afghanistan nexus, planned in Afghanistan.
“The Indian intelligence agency RAW and the Afghan spy agency NDS were involved in the attack. The entire network has been arrested,” Shah Mahmood Qureshi said while addressing a press conference in Islamabad.
He said that a suicide attack was carried out on the vehicle of Chinese workers. The handler of this terror attack named Khalid was a Pakistani and his entire network had been arrested, he added.
“The first target of the attackers was Diamer Bhasha Dam in which they could not succeed. While, the vehicle used in the Dasu attack was smuggled,” he said.
On July 29, Pakistan Counter-Terrorism Department had arrested two brothers from Lahore over suspicion of their embroilment in the attack on Chinese nationals’ vehicle in Kohistan.
The suspects hailed from Quetta and they were owner of the vehicle which was used in the attack. They had been residing in Defence Block-P of Lahore for last 15 years.
According to a report of local media, connections were established between attack on Chinese team in Dasu and Johar Town blast in Lahore. Both the teams of terrorists had links with Indian spy agency, RAW.
