 Darren Sammy set to get highest civilian award, Pakistani citizenship

KARACHI: President Dr Arif Alvi will confer the highest civilian award and honourary citizenship to Peshawar Zalmi skipper Darren Sammy on March 23 for his invaluable contribution for revival of cricket in Pakistan.

The news has been confirmed by media cell of the Pakistan Cricket Board through a tweet on Saturday.

March 23 is observed as Pakistan Resolution Day in the country. The Lahore Resolution was passed on March 23 in 1940 before the birth of the country.
