Daren Sammy arrives in Pakistan to play PSL-5

KARACHI: Peshawar Zalmi skipper Daren Sammy has arrived in Pakistan to play the Pakistan Super League season five starting on Feb 20.

“I am feeling delighted to come to Pakistan,” Daren Sammy said after landing in Karachi. He took selfies and made pictures with his fans at the airport. He is the first foreign cricketer to arrive in the country for PSL V.

Peshawar Zalmi will start preparation for season five on Feb 14.

The opening ceremony of the Pakistan Super League will be held at the National Stadium in Karachi on February 20, while the final is scheduled for March 22 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will host the highest number of matches. The schedule has been finalized for all matches with the Punjab government’s senior government officials in consultation on all matters including security.

Measures have been taken to ensure the safety of foreign players participating in the event.
