‘Dada Abbu’ donates 17 acre for school

An old man, Sheikh Muhammed Afzal has donated 17 acre of land, all his saving, to a welfare organization in Sheikhupura.
He did this after his relatives had strained relations and left him in lurch when he needed them the most.
Afzal’s brother lives abroad and his son-in-law expelled him from his house after he refused to give him his land. He had spent eight years in old-age home before constructing the school and hostel for orphan children. When he could not find help from his loved ones, he extended help to helpless and orphan kids.
“I myself have spent hard days and I can understand that these children also faced difficulties in their lives. Allah (SWT) has given me a chance to serve them,” he said talking to a local news channel.
Sheikh Afzal, who walks with the help of a cane, is equally loved by the children. One of them said that they called him ‘Dada Abbu’. He said Afzal not only taught them but he also looked after their most basic needs including food.
