KARACHI: The Customs officials have recovered smuggled items during a raid at the Superhighway bus stop, on Saturday (today).
According to the Customs Intelligence , a large haul of smuggled items worth millions of rupees have been seized from the Superhighway bus stop.
The owners of the bus stop blocked the highway road and started protesting.
However, the police reached the stop and carried out aerial firing to bring the situation under control.
Earlier, on 10 March, the Directorate of Customs Intelligence has seized a huge quantity of narcotic substance in Karachi.
An operation was conducted and the officials recovered narcotics worth Rs4 billion.
The recovered narcotics weighed 450kg and valued at around Rs40,121 million (Rs4bn) in the international market.
