 Criticism on military and judiciary declared as “Felony”

Islamabad: The federal government has decided to make criticism of institutions like military and judiciary a felony.

According to sources, the government has approved amendments to the Prevention of Electronic Crime Act 2016.

Sources said that after the amendment in the Act, action will be taken against those who are conducting hate campaigns against the judiciary, army and other institutions.

Sources said that the proposed amendment would punish those who criticize the institutions for three to five years.

According to sources, an ordinance amending the Prevention of Electronic Crime Act will be issued soon.
