KARACHI: The Sindh government has decided to tighten precautionary measures during the fourth wave of coronavirus.
Sindh Transport Minister Owais Shah said that coronavirus vaccine certificates of those traveling in passenger vehicles would be checked. He directed all the people coming from other provinces to Sindh to bring their certificates with them.
The minister of transport has also directed the drivers and conductors to keep their Coronavirus certificates with them. He said that owners of all passenger vehicles should not book passenger tickets without a coronavirus certificate.
Orders have been issued to all Regional Transport Secretaries of Sindh in this regard. Owais Shah said that the provincial government had decided that COVID-19 certificates of the passengers traveling in inter-provincial and inter-district public transport would be checked.
Public transport owners, operators and passengers can only travel after being vaccinated against coronavirus. He appealed to citizens and transporters to protect themselves and others by vaccinating against the viral disease.
Asad Umar, head of the National Command and Operations Center, said that the fourth wave of corona virus has started in Pakistan.
