COVID-19 spike: 5,329 new cases, 98 more deaths reported

Pakistan has reported 5,329 new positive cases of COVID-19 with 98 new deaths in the past 24 hours, according to National Command and Operation Center (NCOC).

Total 49,816 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours as the positivity percentage was measured at 10.6%.

Moreover, there are total 66,994 active cases in the country with 2,610 new recoveries.

Pakistan is alarmingly facing the third wave of the coronavirus and it has so far reported 705,517 confirmed cases and 15,124 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
