COVID-19 spike: 5,312 new cases, 105 more deaths reported

Pakistan has reported 5,312 new positive cases of COVID-19 with 105 new deaths in the past 24 hours, according to National Command and Operation Center (NCOC).
Total 54,948 tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours with the positivity rate of 9.6%.
Punjab has reported 2,711 cases in the past 24 hours, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (1,248), Islamabad (674), Sindh (358), Azad Jammu and Kashmir (196), Balochistan (98) and Gilgit-Baltistan (27).

Moreover, there are total 69,811 active cases in the country with 2,390 new recoveries.
Pakistan is alarmingly facing the third wave of the coronavirus and it has so far reported 710,829 confirmed cases and 15,229 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
