COVID-19 spike: 4,584 new cases, 58 more deaths reported
Pakistan has reported 4,584 new positive cases of COVID-19 with 58 new deaths in the past 24 hours, according to National Command and Operation Center (NCOC).
Total 44,514 tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours with the positivity rate of 10.3%.
Punjab has reported 2,021 cases in the past 24 hours, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (1,294), Islamabad (680), Sindh (376), Azad Jammu and Kashmir (133), Balochistan (80), while no case is reported in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Moreover, there are total 75,266 active cases in the country with 3,135 new recoveries.
Pakistan is alarmingly facing the third wave of the coronavirus and it has so far reported 725,602 confirmed cases and 15,501 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
