QUETTA: Viewing the rising number of coronavirus cases, the Balochistan government has banned gathering of five or more than five people in Quetta.

The cases of coronavirus have increased in Quetta in the third wave of COVID-19, the provincial Home Ministry said.

The ministry said the district administration, law enforcement agencies and other organisations would ensure implementation of standard operating procedures as gathering of five or more people or any kind of rally was banned for 15 days.

The Balochistan government said that spread of the dangerous disease could be stopped by implementing COVID-19 SOPs including wearing mask, adopting social distancing and other precautionary measures.
