Court grants 3-day physical remand of prime suspect involved in Shiekhupura murders

The Shiekhupura’s magistrate on Monday granted three-day physical remand of prime suspect involved in murders of eight people with an axe in the city.
The suspect Faiz was produced in the judicial magistrate’s court where police requested physical remand for investigation.
DPO Sheikhupura told the court that the case against the accused includes provisions of terrorism and the suspect will be produced in the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) tomorrow.
Police said that 5 officials of Narang Mandi police station have already been arrested over negligence in the case.
The court accepted the request of the police and handed over the accused to the police on 3-day physical remand.
The case:
In a heart-wrenching incident, eight men were murdered with an axe while sleeping in the farms in a village near Sheikhupura, Punjab.
According to the police, 8 people were stabbed to death with axe at different places while they were sleeping in the village of Hechidar in the suburbs of Sheikhupura.
The police said that the suspect has been arrested with murder weapon, the arrested person seems to be mentally unstable.
DPO Faisal Mukhtar said in this regard that the accused committed all the murders after 3 am when the entire village was sleeping.
