Country to break into three parts if ‘right decisions’ not taken by establishment: Imran Khan

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan said that if the establishment does not make right decisions, Pakistan could split into three parts and also lose its nuclear deterrent capabilities.

In an interview with Sami Ibrahim, anchor person of Bol News, Imran Khan said that if elections were not announced then the country would go to civil war.

“We will see if they allow us to go to the polls in a legal and constitutional way, otherwise this country will go to civil war,” he said.

Imran Khan said that when his party came to power the government was weak and it needed allies, adding that if the same situation arose again, he would go for re-election and get majority.

“Our hands were tied, we were blackmailed everywhere, we didn’t have the power, everyone knows where the center of power is in Pakistan so we had to rely on them,” he said without elaborating.

He claimed that although his government was in power, it did not have all the power and authority.

“If I am in government but I do not have full power and authority, no institution works, the system works when power and authority are in one place,” he said.

Imran Khan further said that due to the threats posed by the enemies, it was necessary for the country to have a strong army but there was also a need to strike a balance between a strong army and a strong government.

In response to another question, Imran Khan said that there was no question of returning to the National Assembly because it would mean accepting the conspiracy that toppled his government.

He said that he was awaiting the decision of the Supreme Court on the request of his party to provide security to the protesters, after which he would give the date of next March.

The PTI chief stated that the current political situation was a problem for the country as well as the establishment.

“If the Establishment does not make the right decisions, the army will be destroyed first.”

Imran Khan said, “If we go bankrupt, then the Pak army will be the target. When the army is the target, we will be taken away from the nuclear program.”

Imran Khan said that if Pakistan loses its nuclear capability, it will be divided into three parts. He warned that if the right decisions are not taken then the country will be heading towards suicide.

Imran Khan declined to give further details when asked about the no-confidence vote night, saying, “History never forgives anyone, if you ask me, I will not go into details but it will be counted as a night in which Pakistan and its institutions suffered a lot.”

He further added that it was the institutions that had weakened Pakistan which had laid its foundation and strengthened it.

Imran said he had made it clear to the neutrals that despite the Corona epidemic, the economic performance of the PTI government was nothing short of miraculous.

“I told them that if you do this and if this conspiracy to overthrow my government succeeds, our economy will be destroyed,” he said.

He added that he had also sent former finance minister Shaukat Tareen to give a presentation.

“At the moment, the country is at a decisive stage. At this time, there is a trial for everyone. There is also a trial for the establishment because the whole nation knows that they are power brokers. There is also a trial for the judiciary and the Supreme Court,” he said.
