PESHAWAR: Viewing the threat of transmission of Coronavirus from China into Pakistan, screening of passengers arriving from Middle Eastern countries is being carried out at Bacha Khan International Airport in Peshawar.
Peshawar International Airport Manager Ubaid ur Rehman Abbasi said the said passengers were being screened at the health counter established for this purpose. The Health Department has posted doctors and paramedical staff at the health counters.
“Passengers are being screened through thermal body scanner and thermometer,” Ubaid said adding that in case a passenger was diagnosed having coronavirus then he would be shifted to a quarantine. He said thermal scanners measured additional temperature of passengers’ body.
