ISLAMABAD: The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Pakistan has soared to 9,216 and death toll to 192 on Tuesday morning.
According to National Command and Operation Centre, 4,195 cases have so far been detected in Punjab, 2,764 in Sindh, 1,276 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 465 in Balochistan, 281 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 185 in Islamabad Capital Territory and 50 in Azad Kashmir.
The Center said that 2,066 patients have so far recovered while the death toll from the virus stands at 192 with 16 new deaths reported during the last twenty four hours. 796 new cases were reported during the last 24 hours.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said the government was taking steps to protect the people from outbreak of coronavirus and save them from hunger.
In a tweet, she said whole nation was engaged in the war against coronavirus, while the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML- N) leadership was worried about the Sharif family.
She said the Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif after his return from England had preferred to remain in self-isolation.
The special assistant said those who used the law for personal benefits should know that in Naya Pakistan national institutions were free and law was supreme.
She urged Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to ask the Sharif family to return the looted money of the nation.
