Coronavirus in Pakistan: Death toll jumps to 18, infection cases to 1,625

KARACHI: Death toll has jumped to 18 and infection cases have increased to 1625 due to coronavirus in Pakistan on Monday.

Four fresh deaths have been reported — two in Punjab and two in Sindh. One patient hailed from Jhelum, he was being treated at a hospital in Rawalpindi and the other from Wah Cantt.

Sindh’s patients hailed from Karachi and were aged 52 and 66. They were diagnosed with COVID-19 three days ago. The patient, 66, had renal problems and was constantly on dialysis and the 52-year-old had respiratory problems.

Eleven people across the country are in critical condition.

Of the 1,625 cases of coronavirus in Pakistan, Sindh reported 502 and Punjab 571.
