Coronavirus death toll rises to 57,000 across world

The number of officially confirmed deaths from the coronavirus have crossed 57,000 across the world.
According to a tally compiled by AFP, over 1,082,470 declared cases have been registered in 188 countries since the pandemic first emerged in China.
Of these cases, at least 205,400 are now considered recovered.

In this data, Italy leads with 14,681 deaths followed by Spain with 10,935, China 3,322 deaths and France reported 6,507 deaths.
In Afghanistan, the government has confirmed 299 positive cases of the novel coronavirus across the country.
The United States recorded more than 1,500 deaths caused by coronavirus in last twenty-four hours.
According to the Johns Hopkins University tracker, an unprecedented number of deaths were counted between Thursday and Friday.
The total number of people who have died since the start of the pandemic in the United States has reached 7,406 and infection cases have crossed the figure of 273,000.
