Controversy over a love marriage: the girl’s father used his teeth to sever the boy’s father’s finger
Karachi: The girl’s father severed the boy’s father’s finger with his teeth during an argument over a marriage of choice in Orangi Town area of Karachi.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) West Sahai Aziz, the incident took place at 11:30 am in Gulshan-e-Zia, Orangi Town Sector 11½ , within the jurisdiction of Pakistan Bazar Police Station.
According to the plaintiff Muhammad Hussain, a girl from his neighborhood Nabila is a classmate of his son Muhammad Salman and likes him and wants to marry him. In this regard, Nabila came to his house yesterday and talked to his wife and insisted on marrying her son.
According to Hussain, he explained to the girl that his son is underage and not employed so they could not get married yet. Meanwhile, the girl’s father Nadeem and uncle Aleem reached there and entered their house. They started beating his son Suleiman. The two brothers grabbed his wife by the hair and dragged her. As a result, Arifah’s clothes were torn and she became naked.
According to the plaintiff, while he was trying to rescue his wife and son, Nadeem severed the little finger of his left hand with his teeth.
According to police, the injured Hussain was given medical aid at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and a medico-legal report was lodged, after which police registered an FIR and arrested Nadeem and Aleem.
