Consultative meeting to be held today to adopt strategy for prayers in Ramadan
ISLAMABAD: Consultative meeting of Ulema and Mashaikh will be held in Islamabad on Saturday (today) to adopt strategy for prayer congregations and Namaz-e-Taraweeh during the holy month of Ramadan.
President Dr. Arif Alvi will chair the meeting, which will prepare a strategy based on effective steps to contain the spread of coronavirus.
Meanwhile, President Dr Arif Alvi made telephonic contacts with Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Senator Sirajul Haq, Jamiat Ulema e Islam-Fazl Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith President Senator Professor Sajid Mir and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Tanveer Hussain.
The president discussed the matters pertaining to his scheduled meeting with religious scholars and Ulema to be held today.
PM directs to prepare roadmap for Ramadan
On Apr 17, talking to Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri in Islamabad, Prime Minister Imran Khan had directed to prepare a comprehensive roadmap for holy month of Ramazan in consultations with Ulema.
The prime minister had said he would hold personal meetings with Ulema and religious scholars next week.
They had also discussed details of scheduled meeting of President Arif Alvi with religious scholars being held on Saturday (today).
