DADU: Residents of Khairpur Nathan Shah tehsil of Dadu district are demanding from the Sindh government to construct a public library in their area.
They held a protest rally in the tehsil which was participated by a large number of people.
“It is duty of the government to facilitate the people as they need a library,” one Twitterite wrote. Sufi Saen said no one could deprive them from their basic rights and library was one of them.
There is dearth of public libraries specially digital ones even in a city like Karachi. The government needs to pay special attention into this matter as a library is the place where those thirsty of knowledge find some solace. It also helps in spreading education and increasing literacy rate.
