ISLAMABAD: Minister for Communications Murad Saeed on Monday said the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) government would soon start construction of new motorways and highways across the country.
Addressing an event ‘Successful Completion of Recent Accomplishments’ in Islamabad, the minister said work would be started on Dir-Swat, D.I.Khan-Peshawar and Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorways by April this year.
He said the important motorway project of Sialkot-Kharian and Kharian-Rawalpindi would be started before June in the current fiscal year.
He said work would also be started on Balkasar-Mianwali and Muzafargarh- DG Khan roads.
Murad Saeed said the ruling government would construct more roads with its own resources during its tenure, as compared to the previous governments.
