Conjoined sisters from Charsadda will reach Pakistan today after a successful operation
Charsadda: Safa and Marwa sisters will reach Pakistan from London today after a successful operation.
Head-joined sisters were separated after being treated in a hospital in London for more than two years, and five major operations. Preparations for the arrival of the two sisters have been completed.
It should be noted that the fourth operation took place on January 16, 2019, While the successful 5th surgery of both the sisters took place on February 12, 2019.
The two sisters were admitted to a hospital in London on November 8, 2018. A team of 170 doctors was formed for the treatment of Safa and Marwa, sisters of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Where the girls underwent their first operation in October.
Before the girls underwent major surgery, a team of doctors performed experimental operations on artificial models. More than Rs. 18 crore has been spent on the treatment of the girls.
Overseas Pakistanis took responsibility for the treatment of the two sisters. Safa and Marwa’s surgery cost was more than 180 million Pakistani rupees.
