The DG Khan Cement Company Limited and Philip Morris Pakistan Limited resumed their operations on Monday, the companies told.
According to a statement to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), DG Khan Cement Company Limited has resumed operations at its Khofli Sattai plant located in District Dera Ghazi Khan.
The statement further claimed that this decision was taken by the organization in view of the relaxation permitted by the authorities to the construction industry from the current lockdown situation because of COVID-19.
“In view of the relaxation allowed to the construction industry from the current situation of lockdown due to COVID-19, by the authorities, DG Khan Cement Company Limited has resumed production processes at its plant site at Khofli Sattai, Dist, Dera Ghazi Khan,” read a statement by the company filed to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Monday.
Philip Morris Pakistan Limited also made a similar announcement, after its filing to the bourse reads: “With the approval of the Government, Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited factory in Sahiwal has been made operational.”
Philip Morris Pakistan Limited also made a related statement following its submission to the stock exchange reads: “With the approval of the Government, Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited factory in Sahiwal has been made operational.”
It may be noted that the companies shut down their operations earlier because of the country’s prevailing lockdown situation.
